When God showed Abraham the land He had for him, He told him to arise and walk it: step into it, take a survey of it, see how good and large it is, and possess it by faith. We, too, are in possession of innumerable blessings because of what Christ accomplished on the cross. We are in our Promise Land and need to walk it by faith.
For example, if your marriage is falling apart, walk it with your spiritual senses; see the two of you united and reconciled in love, joy and peace. If your body is under attack, see it being healed. If you are looking for a job, see yourself being hired. You envision the best outcome because of what God has given you in Christ. Arise from any place where God’s will is not manifested, and receive by faith what the Lord has already given you. Then you walk it, walk it, walk it!
God shows heirs of the promises the incalculable worth of the blessings of the covenant. They are ours by faith. We can see with our spiritual eyes what should be, and walk the Promise Land until everything that is not of God is removed. The imaginations, we are to cast down pertain to fleshly desires. We look behind the seen, and see Jesus on the scene, with all His glory. We walk by faith, not by sight, from glory to glory!
Genesis 13:17 “Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”
