In our warfare we battle with things that are in our way, stumbling blocks in our paths. If it’s not things in our way, our battle is with situations with those we love, or health or wealth problems. Another great area of conflict is when we, ourselves, are blocked, stuck or hindered by our adversary from going forward.
We realize we are blocked when our heart’s desire is to pray, worship, and read our bible—but are unable to do so. In those moments, there are no apparent reasons why we cannot go forth; we just find ourselves incapable of moving in the natural the way our spirit would like us to move. We may look for reasons in our hearts wondering if there is anything wrong with us, sensing we are powerless and not seeing clearly what we are fighting. This is when we need to press through with our whole heart, mind and strength. The Spirit of God helps us as we refuse to allow this hindering spirit to block us any longer, and we take the step by the spirit that we cannot take in our own strength.
This pressing through takes faith and a determination to go forth regardless of the block. As we submit to the Lord, we resist the enemy with every ounce of our being and take the first step. Once we step forth, we are loosed, free to go deeper and reach what the enemy was trying to stop us from reaching. We step forth by His power, from glory to glory!
John 11:43-44 “Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come forth!’ And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, ‘Loose him, and let him go.’ ”
