The best time to direct our voices to God is first thing in the morning, before we turn our attention to anything else. When we can grasp and experience this precious time with the Lord, we will look for it daily.
When our focus is to address Him first, it affects our bible reading. We express our love, gratitude, and need for His guidance and wisdom; all while knowing that He hears us. Our worship leads to our fervent prayers. Our fellowship with Him comes first. Distractions occur, but we refocus on the Lord as soon as possible. Even in our rushing moments, our communication with Him helps us handle the pressures of the day.
God delights in our pursuit of His presence. It is from our personal relationships with Him that everything else flows. When this precious time becomes a habit, it also becomes a priority through the rest of our days. Before we get coffee, before we take a shower, before we eat, before we do anything, we are to talk to the Lord. He talks back and we learn to recognize His voice, from glory to glory!
Psalms 5:3 “My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.”
