In all we do, what makes us come alive? What lights up our whole being, gives us continued excitement and stirs up our passionate heart? The answer tells us what we should be doing to find greater fulfillment.
What we are anointed to do flows out of us and can clearly be seen. Our talents come forth automatically wherever we are and in all circumstances. For example, a teacher will have the tendency to teach even in little things. An administrator will appear to be controlling because she attempts to take over a situation to help whenever possible. A lady’s countenance will change the moment she has an opportunity to re-arrange the kitchen and walk in her anointing. She will become alive! A man, who is usually very quiet and reserved, may be asked to sing. The very moment he begins, he is visibly in a place of joy because the anointing on His gift touches all those present.
Because of our busy lives, how we are involved may be by necessity and not allow us opportunities to know the giftings we’ve been endowed with by the Holy Spirit. However, as we seek the Lord they will emerge. The key is to be aware of the desires God has placed in our hearts, and He will give us occasions to stir up our gifts. When we know what our gifts are, we can trust they will increasingly flow as we go, from glory to glory!
John 7:37-38 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
