It’s through feasting on the abundance of the riches we have in Christ that we are able to fast from what hinders our freedom.
Our enemy throws fiery darts at us to destroy our destiny, but he can see that God has given us the opposite. We feast on God’s peace when confusion comes. We feast on God’s love when rejection comes. We feast on God’s truth when lies come. We feast on all that we have in Christ to fast from all that comes from our enemy. This is done in every area of our lives: spirit, soul and body. We feast on drinking water so we can fast from sodas. We feast on healthy food to fast the unhealthy ones. We feast on good relationships to fast from those that may be hurtful.
Not only does feasting help the fasting, but the opposite is also true. When we fast and overcome the desires of our flesh, by God’s grace, we are able to feast like never before. We run more swiftly to the table the Lord has prepared for us in the presence of our enemies. The enemy can only watch; he cannot come to that table. In Christ, we feast and are full, Hallelujah! Our spirit is strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. The reward of a fast is a greater feast of the things of God. We fast and feast, from glory to glory!
Psalm 23:5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.”
The Word of God tells us to take the shield of faith, above all. Above all does not mean first in importance; it means covering all. The shield of faith covers all the pieces of the armor of God. Every part of the armor corresponds to a truth we have in Christ, and our faith in that truth keeps that truth secured at all times.
The fiery darts often come against the helmet of salvation, the belt of truth and the breastplate of righteousness. The thoughts that come against the truth of the gospel are darts that have the potential to hinder our walk of faith. What we believe in each of these areas tells us which shield we need. The Word of God is the truth we declare and the sword of the Spirit. As we walk in fullness, every area is covered. We declare what we believe in our hearts confessing our Lord who covers all areas for total impact.
In areas where our faith needs to be increased, the Lord will reveal the appropriate truth in His word to help us grow from faith to faith. There are times when loved ones hide behind another’s faith, but only until it’s time for them to have their own shield of faith. Everyone has to believe for themselves, and the Lord is faithful to bring us all to completion, from glory to glory!
Ephesians 6:16 “… above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.”
In taking thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ, we find that when the first thought is captured it will not lead to another. It’s a chain reaction, a sequence of reactions. If there are too many links in the chain, it can be difficult to pinpoint the lie. Our thoughts come in reaction to a situation, but they can be filtered through a wound from our past and be inaccurate. As we seek to walk in truth, we can trust the Holy Spirit to set us free.
Ungodly mindsets are removed as our mind is being renewed by the Word of God. Thinking on the truth of the Word takes the lie captive and removes it. Although we have the mind of Christ, our carnal mind has been used for so long that it comes forth naturally and hinders the release of the supernatural. As we continue to meditate on what is truth, the supernatural becomes the natural, helping us walk in our divine identity.
If we find ourselves in a battle in our minds, we should ask the Lord to reveal and heal the thought that started it all. When we meditate on what the truths of the Lord untangle, the linked lies and chains are broken, from glory to glory!
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.”
Integrity and prosperity work hand in hand. If there are any areas where we are not walking in integrity, our prosperity is hindered. Success in appearance only, not birthed from integrity of heart, will fall to nothing.
As we pursue our goal to remain truthful in all we do, the Lord honors our hunger for righteousness. He leads us to the what, why, and when of walking in the truth. It might require confronting ourselves and others; but the result is freedom, peace and joy. It is a personal walk as each of us is taught what is needed to take us further. The truth we come to know sets us free. It is an experiential knowledge, not head knowledge. The integrity He shows us leads us to greater prosperity. To prosper means to succeed. We reach the wholeness Christ has set us free to attain in spirit, soul, and body.
As we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, all things are added unto us. We enjoy our wealth in Him and trust He will meet all of our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus! Walking in truth, we are free from the lies of our adversary. Material prosperity means nothing without spiritual and emotional prosperity. We progress in truth, from glory to glory!
3 John 1:2-4 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly, when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
A paradigm shift is defined as a radical change in underlying beliefs or theory. As the Holy Spirit molds us into the image of Christ, He causes various paradigm shifts in our lives to align us with Christ, the Head of the Church. He quickens us to reach for the new with surety in our steps. A divine order is set in place swiftly and divine wisdom can be seen in every detail.
The Spirit of Christ will suddenly change our thoughts and our beliefs to align with truth. A paradigm shift changes the way we see things, instantly and permanently. It causes everyone in our lives to move from any place outside the divine path of God, into their ordained position in Christ. It frees us from bondages we could not disconnect on our own. Wrong mindsets are shifted to obey the Lord. The truth we suddenly know puts us in a new position. Everything starts moving because God has moved us into a new place.
As we call unto God, we can trust He answers us, all the time. He answers by showing us great and mighty things of which we have no knowledge. He shifts our understanding by renewing our minds so that we are not conformed to this world, but transformed into His image. When the timing of God’s perfect will is here, a paradigm shift suddenly occurs and nothing remains the same. We are empowered in new ways to move from glory to glory!
Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
