Reaping

Reaping

We can trust that our obedience to the Lord in even the smallest things brings forth glorious treasures at a later time. It is written in the Word of God that if we do not grow weary in well doing, in due time we reap the rewards. We do not do anything to receive something in return, and we do not lose heart, knowing that when the Lord leads us to sow, we will reap a harvest.

What we sow may be time, money or talents. It’s given with love, and with love unconditionally. It may not appear to be much, but it is, because it’s for the Lord. It may not appear to be appreciated, but it is, by the Lord. It may not measure up to how much we would like to give, but it’s multiplied, in the Lord. We give ourselves to the Lord and He gives through us. When our due season to reap is upon us, the enemy attempts to make us lose heart. In those moments the loving and giving heart of God, that dwells in our heart, is anointed to flow even more. Our reward is in Christ and all the blessings that come from Him.

When we obey the Lord, immediate results may not be seen, but we can trust His glory will be seen. We do not lose heart; we do not grow weary in well doing. Whatever He asks us to do, we delight in doing. We obey with love and patience–and without complaint. We know His glory will be seen, from glory to glory!

Galatians 6:9-10 “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”

He Draws Nigh

He Draws Nigh

When we draw nigh unto God, He draws nigh unto us. Our loving Father is waiting for us to willingly stretch our hand out to Him. As soon as we do, He quickly draws nigh and we come in contact with an increasing measure of His glory.

Because God is eternal, He is outside of our time. In the natural, if we were to watch a parade go by, we would only see it as it comes in front of us. The higher we would go, the more we would see of the parade. God sees the end from the beginning. He touches our past, present and future at the same time. He protects all our family members at the same time. He stretches out His hand against the wrath of our enemies. The moment He touches us, we come in contact with eternity. Heaven touches earth. Glory touches dust. Healing touches sickness. Hope touches despair.

Whenever we draw nigh unto God, we can expect Him to draw nigh unto us. We can rest assured Almighty God longs to be one with us. He loves us and desires to walk with us—hand in hand, in one accord, from glory to glory!

Psalms 138:7-8 “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.”
