Self Offense

Self Offense

The offense least confronted is the offense we have with self.  We feel like  we shouldn’t have done this or said that. When not handled, it can be a stumbling block. It’s self-condemnation and we have been freed from self-condemnation in Christ Jesus. We often judge, convict and declare ourselves guilty, when we have already been declared innocent by our Lord.

Being free from condemnation helps us walk free from addiction, low self-esteem and many other issues. We no longer seek  the destruction we feel we deserve. Freedom in Christ means we no longer have to cover the wrongs or the shame that comes naturally with damaging ways. God frees those He forgives. Satan accuses us constantly, and when we battle self-condemnation we come in agreement with his lies. In Christ we are free from the accusations, insecurities and lies that caused us to get stuck. We are no longer bound to anything that tries to hold us down.

Trust what Christ has done. We do not have to deal with what was already dealt with on the cross. Disregard the problems we see in ourselves because God sees us clothed with righteousness. We do not accuse ourselves; we have already been declared not guilty. When the Holy Spirit convicts us of something that needs to be changed in our ways, He comes with healing and comfort. We seek and set our minds on the things of the Spirit, not the flesh, from glory to glory!

Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
