Confident

Confident

Are circumstances in our lives and in the world so concerning we are losing confidence in the outcome? Our confidence in the outcome of a situation is determined by our confidence in the Lord. No matter what we face, unseen events are taking place carrying more impact than what eye can see. We cannot comprehend these events with our natural mind; they are related to God’s ability, not ours. The problem intensifies if we try to figure out what’s going on, or we take it into our own hands.

A woman was driving in a snowstorm and couldn’t see in front of her. The road she was on had no place to park and other cars were behind her. Calling upon the Lord she suddenly was led to fix her eyes on one spot in front of her car and heard the Holy Spirit say, “Keep your focus on what I show you.” It was very specific, and she couldn’t look at the way the snow was falling, the cars behind her, the cars beside her, or any other place– only to what He showed her. He used this one point of contact to take her through. Similarly, during storms in our lives, He causes us to keep our eyes on something specific. It could be simply keeping our eyes on Him and trusting Him for the long run. What a precious Lord!

It’s supernatural to walk in Christ. God is doing a marvelous work in and through us. He is taking us through trials miraculously. We are coming out stronger with deeper roots and greater faith, from glory to glory!

Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”

Grasshopper or Giant?

Grasshopper or Giant?

Do we see ourselves as grasshoppers or giants? If we see ourselves as grasshoppers, that is how others will see us. The way we see ourselves is expressed through our actions, and it either helps or hinders the confidence we portray that we have in God.

When the spies went in to look at the Promise Land, they encountered a land flowing with milk and honey and brought back beautiful, huge grapes. The people rejoiced seeing the grapes and concluded it was a beautiful land. The report of ten of the spies said there were giants in the land and that in comparison to them, they were grasshoppers. Is there a problem we are facing that appears to be a giant on our land? Compared to the giant, Christ, who dwells in us– they are all grasshoppers.

A singer is a singer before they make an album. A writer is a writer before a book is published. We are anointed by God to do what He calls us to do before we walk in its manifestation. What are we saying we are? We never should see ourselves as grasshoppers, but as giants in God. We have to know and believe it from glory to glory!

Numbers 13:33 “ ‘There we saw the giants’ (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); ‘and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.’ ”
