Pick it up!

Pick it up!

As we walk the truth of God’s word we have to guard against the enemy constantly attempting to steal it and causing it to drop off our hearts. When circumstances do not line up with the truth of God’s word of victory, the temptation might come to pick up some of the strongholds we have been freed from. We also have to be careful not to pick up fleshy opinions or old mindsets.

It’s after something has dropped off we realize it has. If a truth we picked up brought peace, suddenly that peace is gone. If it brought wisdom, confusion shows up. If trust in God, doubt tries to settle in. To rebuke the enemy from stealing the word, we read and keep ourselves in the Word on a regular basis. We submit to the authority of the Word and grow in its truth, from faith to faith. We trust His word more than our words.

God increases His anointing to empower us to hold on to His word of truth; for His word to abide in us in such a way that the tribulations only confirm the steadfastness we have in Him. We are being brought into a place of fruitfulness we’ve been longing for a long time. No matter how many times we have to pick up a truth of God again and again, let us never cease to seek and trust the Abiding Word in our hearts, from glory to glory!

John 15:7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”

Our Service

Our Service

When we serve Him, let us never have our eyes on the value of our actions, but on our value in Christ. We are human beings, not doings. We trust His doing because we trust His being. We surrender ourselves to God for Him to do as He wills.

Before we can serve Him, we must present ourselves as a living sacrifice unto God. All else comes from being in His hands …belonging to Him…with our whole heart. It’s not presenting this or that which we believe we have to offer; it’s being a vessel in the Master’s hands. Even if others actions appear to be more or less important than ours – they are not. Even when we think what we do is not enough – it is. Moment by moment we are available, and therefore valuable. Others opinion of us cannot affect us, or increase or decrease our value because we know who we are in Christ.

Some plant, some water, but only God gives the increase. It’s not about our works, but about His work in and through us. We leave all results in His hands. We can be still and know He is God. In that resting place we wait on Him, from glory to glory!

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
