We recognize our value and treasure one another as we comprehend, from faith to faith, the importance of being a member of the Body of Christ. Nothing matters when we think we don’t have any value, and the wrong things can appear valuable when we feel worthless. Each one of us is so precious to the Lord; not because of what we do, but because of who we are.
Every joint supplies what is lacking in another. We all have a part that fits perfectly into the whole. We become what Christ, the head of the Body, has purposed. No one is anyone without another someone; and satan knows the ability we have in unity as one in the Body of Christ. That unity is so frightening to him that he lies to us regarding our worth with attacks to make us feel insecure, insignificant, inferior, incomplete, incapable, inept, inadequate, and more. All these words start within, and need to be conquered by knowing we are in Christ. The world says that if you are in, you are part of the elite; we are so much more because we are in the Body of Christ!
In Christ, we are loved, valued, secure, significant, complete, capable, important, necessary and gifted. The love of God holds us together. We honor and care for one another. If we ever feel we don’t fit, we trust we are completely in and cannot be dislocated. We walk free from whatever doesn’t fit that truth, from glory to glory!
Ephesians 4:15-16… but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
