Lord of All!

Lord of All!

Jesus is either Lord of all or Lord not at all. All our priorities align with this truth. Our focus is on building His house, not ours. We are His (spiritual) building and we belong to Him so the decisions we make have to be made with Christ as the foundation.

We surrender all: body, soul and mind to Him. We are to consecrate, commit and dedicate ourselves to Him. We are entirely His. We are no longer our own; we are the property of our maker. We live in complete submission to our Lord, regardless of the cost, with sincere dedication—obeying moment by moment. We forsake all for His sake. As we occupy ourselves with building His house, He gives us riches in all that we need. All the divine resources are available to us.

The tendency is to see what we can achieve with what we have. As God’s fellow workers in God’s field, we have to count on what He has: His materials, His strength, His plan and His will. He often will demolish what has been laid on the wrong foundation so that He can rebuild. All that He has for us is laid on the only foundation that will last for eternity: Christ our Lord. This spiritual house is filled with His glory, from glory to glory!

1 Corinthians 3:9-11 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Calling Upon the Lord

Calling Upon the Lord

God has a way of calling upon us to do something in His name that is unmistakable. We know it is Him calling. We know that we know. There is peace and no doubt; there is surety and no fear. His love for us is such that we trust Him for wherever He is leading us. We know we need to call upon Him for each and every step.

When we call upon the name of the Lord, something happens. When we call upon the names of other people, nothing happens unless they are led by God to connect with our purpose. When the Lord leads us to call upon them, we can rest assured of positive results. You ask the Lord for His ability, His wisdom and His understanding. We call upon God with confidence because He is the one who called us. We did not choose Him, He chose us. He placed His hand upon us and now we keep our hand in His.

Whatever we ask our Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we receive that He may be glorified. We will never get a disconnected message, a busy signal or be placed on hold. We can trust we will get an answer that surpasses our expectations. Oh, how the Lord is waiting for us to call upon Him, from glory to glory!

John 15:16 “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
