Remember!

Remember!

When we recall how faithful God is, our faith is increased. As we look back on how great the Lord has already moved in our lives, we rest assured He is the same today and will move in our lives in the same great and amazing manner.
At times, we might easily forget what God has done in our yesterdays. Remembering who He is at all times encourages and empowers us to count on His intervention in our lives.
The obstacles we face today can be overwhelming. When the disciples realized they had only one loaf of bread in their boat they started being fearful, forgetting the miracle of the multiplication of bread they had recently witnessed.
They were looking at the lack of provision instead of looking at the provider who was with them: Jesus. We too should keep our focus on the Lord’s presence in our lives. The moment we look to ourselves, or others, fear tries to quench our faith.
Our trust is in God moving through people, not in the people themselves. We never expect disappointment when we depend on God’s faithfulness. We can depend on Him: His salvation, His healing, His provision, His deliverance, Him!
Sarah received power to conceive because she counted God faithful in what He had promised her. We too are receiving the anointing to birth the promises of God as we recall His faithfulness, from glory to glory!

Hebrews 11:11 “By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.”

Trust Him

Trust Him

We can look back today and see where God has brought us out of situations we were so concerned with in the past. God delivered us! He delivered us then, He delivers us today and He will deliver us tomorrow. In the process, we learn to know God’s faithfulness. We find we can trust Him at all times.

To trust is to have confidence in; to have an assured reliance on the character, ability, strength or truth of someone or something. This is attained as we grow in the knowledge of that someone or something. In order to trust God for what He can do, we must meditate on who He is. Knowing His character helps us know His ability. It’s to the same degree we know the Lord, that we trust Him. The trust we have in ourselves is decreased as our trust in God is increased.

We trust He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He has delivered us from spiritual death. The one who raises the dead surely can deliver us out of any trying circumstances. Our God is loving, good, gentle, faithful, dependable, reliable, unchangeable, amazing, awesome, glorious and more than enough. This amazing God takes us, from glory to glory!

2 Corinthians 1:9-10 “Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us.”

Faithful!

Faithful!

It’s when we are faithful where we are that God opens doors for more in our lives. Our labor of love is not in vain in the Lord. He sees all that is done for His glory. He knows when we go the extra mile in our duties. When we do things as unto God, we do our best. We delight to go above and beyond the norm. With His spirit of excellence working in and through us, promotion can be expected.

Wherever we are, we are ministers of reconciliation. We represent the Lord. His power is released for all of our achievements. He brings more and more for us to handle for Him as we stay committed to what He has placed in our hands. All that is done in private for Him, He rewards openly. Others might not seem to notice, appreciate or affirm our actions; but God surely does. With divine ability, He gives more responsibility. His faithfulness can be trusted.

In the Bible, to be enabled means to be empowered. It’s not just being able to accomplish something in the natural; it’s doing it supernaturally by the power of God. When Paul thanks God for this enablement, he connects it with having been counted faithful. In all things, today and always, let’s remain faithful and count on being empowered by God, from glory to glory!

1 Timothy 1:12 “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.”
