From Carriers to Couriers

From Carriers to Couriers

Through brokenness we come to a point where we are no longer self-centered, but Christ centered. It’s no longer about me, myself and I, but about others; and allowing the Lord to shine forth His glory through us to a dark world. We deliver God’s presence, power and reality everywhere we go. We understand that the Kingdom is manifested through the excellence of the power of God that moves through us.

The presence of Christ within us, not only removes the darkness within, but also the darkness we encounter. The light dispels the darkness; the darkness cannot dispel the light. The battles we go through often pertain to light coming against darkness. We are not only carriers of the glory of God, but also couriers. We are earthen vessels, and yet we have the glory of God within us. It is a war between the flesh and the spirit. The key to releasing the anointing is to trust the treasure, not the earthen vessel.

In all battles, the Holy Spirit strips us from our natural ways so that He can fight the battle for us. We come to God completely broken of our own knowledge, understanding and reasoning. As we step into His purpose our hearts cry out, “Oh God! Manifest your presence so that everyone will know who you are. Oh God! Let the world know that You are on the throne.” As He dispels the darkness, His light shines through us, from glory to glory!

2 Corinthians 4:7 “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”

Light Up!

Light Up!

When dark situations threaten to overtake us, we can rest assured God will light our lamp and enlighten all darkness. Not only the darkness around us, but any darkness within us, will be removed as His light shines in our heart.

There are roads we travel when our destination is unclear; relationships in which our future is shadowed; and sicknesses in our bodies quenching our lamps. Our candles may be difficult to detect, but they are never removed. They may seem dimmed, but light will arise! Traveling on a dark road with no visibility, we will follow the lights of the car in front of us. When that vehicle turns off the road, we have no choice but to trust our own lights. In our walk, we may be following someone else’s light until the situation we are in causes us to discover we carry the light of the Lord ourselves; and we are followed by others. It is the light of God’s countenance that shines upon us and brightens our roads.

The fiery darts of the enemy come as bushels to hide our lamps, but at that very moment God lights us up even brighter. Candles lit by our Lord surely can’t be blown out by satan. A lit candle brings comfort even in the midst of sorrow. As God’s glory is ignited faith arises, hope is restored and deliverance is assured, from glory to glory!

Psalm 18:28 “For You will light my lamp; The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.”
