Whatever we believe God is able to do, He is able to do much more. Whoever we know God to be, He is much more. Whatever we believe God is going to do, He is planning to do much more!
God’s ways are higher than our ways. He is able to exceed all our expectations and we can count on Him to do so. Our prayers avail more than we know, and frequently the answers come with much more than we anticipated. God is all knowing, and working on every detail to bring forth everlasting fruit. We may pray for one thing, but do not see the whole picture. He sees the whole picture because His eyes are on the much more, never the less.
Whatever we have been asking God for, His power working in us is working on much more. Often some answers take longer to come because their impact will be much more than we think. The delays do not mean nothing is happening; they mean God is bringing about much more than we can even comprehend. Hallelujah! Let’s truly expect the unexpected much more of God, from glory to glory!
Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,…”
Seeking the Lord has to be done in deed, and in truth, not in words alone. The Hebrew for seek is “darash,” which means to tread, to follow, to seek, to ask, to worship. When we worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth, we seek Him alone. We do not seek healing, but the Healer; not the gift, but the Giver; not the provisions, but the Provider; not deliverance, but the Deliverer.
When we look for our car keys in order to go somewhere, nothing else matters. Our drive is such, we are unable to do anything else until they are found. We are to seek the Lord with the same fervor. When we seek Him, we find Him. God doesn’t hide from us, but is always within our reach. Whatever battle we face is won as we come face to face with Him. In that place, He provides us with the right ammunition and instruction to war effectively. He gives us what is specifically needed. That response from the Lord is what we aim directly at the enemy when we pray.
When we seek the answer to our prayers and omit to seek Him, we don’t have confidence that our petition is heard. It’s difficult to stand in our trials when we don’t have the assurance of His presence. The moment we are in His presence, we can see Him in the midst of our trial. We look for Him in all things from glory to glory!
Hosea 10:12 “Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.”
