Do we indeed trust God to accomplish His purpose in our lives regardless of unfavorable circumstances? We seek to achieve our best as we submit to His leading in our relationships, careers and plans for our future. However, many unanticipated incidents shake our security and attempt to bring havoc. At times, circumstances move us out of a place where everything appeared arranged for what God planned for us, into a position where nothing is in place, only our faith in Him.
Because of a decree that went out from Caesar that every citizen should be registered, Joseph and Mary had to travel to Bethlehem and leave Nazareth where preparations had been made for the birth of their son, Jesus. It was there, away from home, that God’s purpose came to pass. The child was born where no provisions were available, not even a room in the Inn. Thus, He was born in a manger. Jesus’ arrival could not be stopped.
It is when what we depend upon the most falls apart, that we learn to depend upon God alone. He uses unforeseen, astonishing and surprising situations to bring us into great moments of awe at His ability to manifest His perfect plan. Through those divine encounters, we find ourselves growing from faith to faith, from glory to glory!
Luke 2:6 “So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered.”
