Things of this world, the flesh and the devil come to hinder our walk with Christ; we must press through to reside in our place of victory. The most effective way to press through is by praising the Lord.
Truly, the best time to praise the Lord is when we don’t feel like it. There is a strong anointing on the sacrifice of praise we offer to God. It requires pushing our flesh out of the way, taking every thought captive and obeying, whatever the cost. As we give thanks to His name, darkness flees and all obstacles are removed. The garment of heaviness is lifted as God is lifted up. Our weapons of warfare are sharpened as we magnify His holy name. We are encouraged and edified because the more we extol Him, the more we trust His miraculous ways.
Praising the Lord brings His presence into whatever scene we are facing. Heaviness might be surrounding us from various sources; or, some things might be affecting us more than we realize. As we praise the Lord, we shake the dust off our feet. We proclaim that He is worthy, holy, able, mighty, awesome and moving in our lives! We press through the stress and through the mess, from glory to glory!
Hebrews 13:15 “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”
