It’s easier to let people move in, than to have them move out. This is not just in the natural, but also as we are led to set a new boundary in a relationship. Meeting with others to let them know it’s time to go our separate ways can be challenging. The Lord helps us by divine intervention and the manifestation of His grace.
We might encounter opposition and it could be difficult to stand strong in what we are led to do when we are pressured to change our decision. This can be a challenging issue when it comes to family members. Because of familiarity, some may be taken for granted. At times, boundaries that have been set are not respected. Guilt is used to make us feel like we are responsible for the welfare of others; and the responsibility felt can be overwhelming.
Praying and trusting the Lord for everyone’s best interests is foremost in walking with the Lord through this kind of trial. Speaking the truth in love is important. When the truth is known, people are set free. Often resentment may come in when people are unaware of other people’s thoughts; usually because their thoughts have not been expressed clearly. When talking is not feasible, we should communicate in writing. Prayer avails much. God is able. We walk in truth, from glory to glory.
