The Lord has hidden treasures, and He blesses us when we least expect it as we walk in obedience to Him, in whatever direction He gives us.
When Rebekah met Eliezer, Abraham’s servant, by the well where she came daily to draw water, she gave him and his camels water to drink–without knowing what effect this small act of kindness was going to have on her life. Eliezer was looking for a bride for Abraham’s son, Isaac. He was looking for the fruit of a godly character, someone who would give water, not only to him, but to his camels. When she obeyed what her heart was telling her to do, she unknowingly made the way for her to meet her future husband. She also didn’t know the camels were carrying the wealth of Abraham. As we obey the Lord, by and through love, the Spirit of God gives us unexpected treasures.
Great treasures are discovered while doing small things. A mate is met, a child is conceived, provisions are found… and so much more is hidden in our labor of love in the Lord. The Holy Spirit is preparing the Bride of Christ with an anointing for His calling. He is bringing forth precious and glorious treasures, from glory to glory!
Genesis 24:17-18 “And the servant ran to meet her and said, ‘Please let me drink a little water from your pitcher.’ So she said, ‘Drink, my lord.’ Then she quickly let her pitcher down to her hand, and gave him a drink.”
