The way we see ourselves, or the way others see us, cannot compare with how God sees us. Fortunately, God leads us to see ourselves the way He sees us: as perfect, flawless, beautiful pearls. He knows we belong to Him and He’s very protective of us; He loves to shower us with His love; He loves to hang out with us; and He’s rejoicing because we have answered the call to spend time with Him. We spend time with Him and call upon His name because we want to hear from Him.
If we have ever emphasized something negative about ourselves, we know it increased the focus on the negative, and all the wonderful attributes we have were hidden. If, for example, we have a zit on our face, we notice it…though nobody else does…until we mention it. Then it seems to grow and everyone seems to talk about it. Additionally, the moment we speak forth a negative, we think about ourselves and we bring attention to it. The negative words could be related to our works, our looks, our ways, or anything pertaining to us that we believe to be true. The enemy wants to use words to belittle us, so God’s word must be our focus.
We learn to hear God’s voice instead of other voices by spending time in His word. We cannot question the potter in regards to the clay. With a grateful heart, we praise Him for we are His workmanship. We walk in our divine identity, from glory to glory!
Psalm 139:14 “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.”
