Before we know the Lord, we are spiritually blind. As we walk in newness of life, the Lord takes us by His hand to lead us into our Promise Land. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. As we continue to walk with Him, He often brings us out of where we are to bring us into the next place of victory.
In the book of Mark, people begged Jesus to touch a blind man. Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. Jesus didn’t tell him where He was taking him. Suddenly the blind man heard a noise and felt spit on his eyes. It was unexpected and made no sense in the natural. As Jesus takes us by the hand He will also do some unusual things to cause us to trust Him more deeply. He’ll personally take us out of town, out of familiar surroundings, in order to take us to a place where there are no distractions. He wants us to have an encounter alone with Him.
God holds on to our hand and does not let go until He has accomplished His will in our lives. It’s easy to let go of what we are holding on to with a tight grip when Jesus takes us by the hand, from glory to glory.
Mark 8:22-23 Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him. So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.
