When we feel unworthy, undeserving and falling short of the glory of God –God reminds us that He is greater and He knows all things. He knows everything that pertains to us: why we do the things we do, and do not do the things we should. He knows we are dust so He fills us with His glory. He knows that without Him we are nothing. He knows us and loves us.

No matter how inadequate we feel, He is more than enough. We were unrighteous; He made us righteous in Christ. When our heart reminds us we are not doing or loving as much as we could, God reminds us of all He has completed for us. We are complete in Christ. What we couldn’t obey, He obeyed for us. What we couldn’t do, He did. Where we lack, He completes. The more we face our inability in ourselves, the more we stand in awe of His ability, His grace and His glory.

When our heart condemns us, we lack confidence in God. We may hesitate to move forward because we are apprehensive about failing. We look at our past errors and do not proceed with the holy boldness we already have in Christ. Our confidence in ourselves quenches our confidence in God. Our heart is new, filled with the life of God and the more we fail, the more we grow in total confidence in God from glory to glory!

1 John 3:20-21 “…for if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.”
