God helps us walk through every situation to attain transformation through the renewing of our minds; and to prove what is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.
Knowing God’s will indicates closeness. It’s not known intellectually. It’s known by our spirits. In his letters Paul addresses doctrine before duty. A legalistic guilt trip is not from the message of Christ. The work is done; we are righteous in Christ so we can be close to the Lord and enjoy His blessings. As a result, we give ourselves to Him completely and are transformed by the revelation of who He is and who we are in Him. We are either conformers or transformers. We cannot try to fit in the world in order to get the world to hear The Word. We are transformed, going through a metamorphosis like a caterpillar to a butterfly, and as such demonstrate God’s will for the world—to the world.
It’s through the Word of God that our mind is renewed. It’s in our place of intimacy, loving God, that we soar like butterflies. During the transformation we are hidden in cocoons for protection. We start flying in certain areas and those around us know, “It is the Lord!” and they also want to fly. God’s will takes us from glory to glory!
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
